Sandy Whelchel

Sandy Whelchel is the author of six nonfiction books, five children's coloring books, hundreds of published articles and short stories. She says she initially made every self-publishing mistake possible and hopes to steer others on a less rocky path. Despite her first disasters, she has sold approximately 10,000 copies of her first works on the history of U.S. Air Force Academy and several thousand copies of the five coloring books.

As Executive Director of the National Writers Association, she spends a major part of her day assisting writers through the maze of copyright, marketing and related writing questions.
